Barcelona vs Real Madrid, Sunday 19th March, 20:00

Barcelona will be looking to all but seal the La Liga title with a win on Sunday night over their bitter rivals Real Madrid. Madrid go into the match 9 points behind the Catalan giants and anything but a win will probably see Los Blancos turn their attention away from the league and focus on winning a 14th Champions League triumph. Itā€™s the leagueā€™s most shot happy attack in Madrid (17.5 shots per game for) vs the leagueā€™s most solid defence in Barcelona (8.4 shots per game against). Although teams are having more shots than usual vs Xaviā€™s Barcelona side recently with Athletic Bilbao (15), Valencia (13 - Barca down to 10 men in the 59th minute) and Cadiz (14) all going over the 8.4 average that Barca concede. Bet365 have priced Real Madrid to have over 11.5 shots at 2.25 (5/4) which I feel is well worth a bet here. If you prefer player props, Federico Valverde has had 2 or more shots in 17 out of his 22 La Liga starts this season, averaging 2.1 per game over the course of the season and Bet365 have him priced at the same odds 2.25 (5/4) to have over 1.5 shots.

  • Recommended Bet - Real Madrid Over 11.5 Shots @ 2.25 (5/4)

  • Bookie - Bet365

  • Confidence - 1/3

Will be having a little 13.00 (12/1) Bet Builder punt for interest whilst watching the game on Sunday night as well as shown above. Could bore you all with the reasoning but who cares, really? Letā€™s just hope for 7 yellow cards each and a lovely hour or two of escapism before Monday comes back around and youā€™re spitting feathers on the way to work after treating yourself to one too many pints this weekend.

Ajax vs Feyenoord, Sunday 19th March, 13:30

The Dutch league isnā€™t exactly renowned for cards so if you see me flogging toilet roll holders on Facebook marketplace after this bet sometime in the near future, mind your own business, yeah? Cheers!

League-leaders Feyenoord travel to Ajax after giving a Ukrainian their worst beating since errr, Russia. Ajax are priced as odds on favourites here despite trailing Feyenoord by 3 points in the race for the title. When the sides met in January, there was 8 cards in total in the match with both teams receiving 4 cards each. William Hill have priced up both teams to have over 19.5 booking points each here at 2.30 (13/10). If youā€™re unaware of how to get this bet on follow these instructions here: #BuildYourOdds > Total Booking Points > Ajax Over 19.5 > Feyenoord Over 19.5 > Add To Bet Slip.

Danny Desmond (Hope he gives Tu-tu cards each) Makkelie is the man in the middle for the game and as above, his card averages arenā€™t anything to shout home about (3.1 yellows per game) across 261 Eredivise appearances. However, he took charge of the Chelsea vs Borussia Dortmund second-leg the other week and showed late on that he doesnā€™t mind dishing them out in important games, showing 4 of the total 7 cards in the match late on in additional time.

  • Recommended Bet - Both Teams To Have Over 19.5 Booking Points Each @ 2.30 (13/10)

  • Bookie - William Hill

  • Confidence - 3/3

Vitesse vs PSV, Sunday 19th March, 15:45

PSV will be hoping for either an Ajax win or a draw at the very least in the top of the table clash between Feyenoord (1st, 58 points) and Ajax (2nd, 55 points) so they can join the the Eredivisie title race if they beat Vitesse as they currently sit 6 points adrift in 4th with 52 points. PSV have hit some huge shot totals in recent weeks and Dutch midfielder Joey Veerman has more than played his part in their efforts on goal, heā€™s had 20 shots in his last six league games. Hitting 2+ shots in all of those games. Heā€™s hit 3+ shots in 5/6 and 4+ shots in 3/6 of these games. Bet365 has him priced up at 2.10 (11/10) to have over 1.5 shots. Heā€™s 4.33 (10/3) to have over 2.5 shots and 10.00 (9/1) to have over 3.5 shots. If he doesnā€™t bring his shooting boots, at least we all got to ignore our partners for an hour or two on Sunday afternoon and didnā€™t have to partake in the Motherā€™s Day shenanigans. Now thatā€™s why I call value!

  • Recommended Bet - Joey Veerman Over 1.5 Shots @ 2.10 (11/10)

  • Bookie - Bet365

  • Confidence - 2/3

If you do decide to back the over 2.5 and over 3.5 shots, Iā€™d stagger your stakes so that if he ends on 2 you still make a healthy profit. For example, Ā£10 on over 1.5, Ā£2 on over 2.5, Ā£1 on over 3.5. Would see a Ā£13 outlay and a Ā£21 return if he only had 2 shots resulting in Ā£8 profit. Alternatively, steal your old girls Mothers Day cards, steal any cash inside and GET MORE ON! #GambleResponsibly
