Wednesday 11th December Bets: Juventus vs. Manchester City & West Bromwich Albion vs. Coventry

đź’° Punt: Nicolo Savona To Commit 1+ Fouls, Nicolo Savona To Commit 2+ Fouls & Nicolo Savona To Be Booked
đź“— Bookie: SkyBet
🎲 Odds: 2.38 (11/8), 9.00 (8/1) & 8.00 (7/1)
⚽️ Game: Juventus vs. Manchester City

Nicolo Savona came off injured in the Old Lady’s last Champions League outing against Aston Villa which led to him missing their disappointing draw vs. Lecce. He returned to action in Serie A at the weekend as Juventus boss Thiago Motta faced his old side Bologna, Savona was a 79th minute substitute and played a crucial part in Samuel Mbangula’s equaliser to make it Desmond 2-2 at the death.

Savona has only committed 2 fouls in total domestically in Serie A, however, both of those fouls have led to yellow cards. His first booking came for fouling Cagilari’s Tommaso Augello and his second card of the season came against Lazio for fouling Nuno Tavares. He’s committed just the 1 foul in 3 Champions League appearances. So, why the bet?

If Savona starts it’s likely that he’ll be right-back with Danilo swapping over to left-back due to the injury Andrea Cambiasso picked up at the weekend, forced off through injury in the 13th minute vs. Bologna. The Italian full-back will have to cope with either Jack Grealish or Jeremy Doku on Manchester City’s left-hand side, or there’s the potential that Guardiola reverts back to the starting XI that got that elusive victory vs. Nottingham Forest with both Grealish and Doku starting on City’s left, albeit Grealish was in a deeper midfield role.

Grealish is fouled on average every 31.5 minutes this season, winning 2.9 fouls per 90 minutes played. In his 3 Champions League appearances, this increases to winning a foul every 24 minutes as he wins 3.8 fouls per 90 minutes in European competition. On the other hand, Belgian international Jeremy Doku is fouled 2.1 times per 90 for both club and country this season, being fouled once every 43 minutes.

  • Nicolo Savona To Commit 1+ Fouls @ 2.38 (11/8) - SkyBet

  • Nicolo Savona To Commit 2+ Fouls @ 9.00 (8/1) - SkyBet

  • Nicolo Savona To Be Carded @ 8.00 (7/1) - SkyBet

*I’d recommend checking line-ups prior to kick-off as SkyBet do not void bets if the player comes on as a substitute.
