Crystal Palace vs West Ham, English Premier League, Saturday 29th April, 12:30, BT Sport 1.

Bet: Vladimir Coufal 2+ Fouls @ 3.00 (2/1) & Vladimir Coufal To Be Booked @ 5.50 (9/2) - SkyBet

Roy Hodgson has confirmed in his press conference that Wilfried Zaha has been back in training and that he’ll be in the squad for the Saturday lunchtime kick-off vs West Ham, whether he starts or not remains to be seen but I like the look of Coufal committing a couple of fouls regardless. In the 4 games Zaha has missed, right-backs have made the following amount of fouls:

  • Leeds: Ayling - 1.

  • Southampton: Maitland-Niles - 2.

  • Everton: Holgate - 3.

  • Wolves: Semedo - 2.

Vladimir Coufal will likely line up against Jordan Ayew who is fouled 2.2 times per game on average, which increases to 2.9 times per 90 minutes. Coufal is priced at 3.00 (2/1) to commit 2+ fouls with SkyBet. And he’s also priced at 5.50 (9/2) to be booked with the same bookie. Combining both bets makes for a nicely priced 9.50 (17/2) double through Sky Bet’s BuildABet. If Zaha is to make a return from injury off the bench, the Ivorian winger is fouled 3 times per game on average, slightly increasing to 3.1 per 90 minutes. So, whoever lines up on Palace’s left wing, you’d imagine Coufal will have his hands full until the final whistle.

Bournemouth vs Leeds, English Premier League, Sunday 30th April, 14:00.

Bet: Liam Cooper Over 0.5 Shots @ 2.50 (6/4) & Liam Cooper and Robin Koch Over 1.5 Shots Each @ 67.00 (66/1) - Bet365

Bournemouth have conceded 20 goals from set-piece situations in the Premier League this season, the worst in the league by 6 goals. They face a Leeds side who have scored 9 goals from set pieces, not overly impressive. However, in the reverse fixture back in November, Leeds managed 13 corners and both of their central defenders Robin Koch & Liam Cooper managed 2 shots each, with the latter scoring as well. Admittedly, Leeds trailed from the 19th minute until Cooper’s equaliser in the 68th minute but it highlights Bournemouth’s fragility from set-pieces which has been a continuous theme throughout the season.

Leeds should look to take advantage of the Cherries’ weakness and I’ve been lured in by Liam Cooper to have a shot @ 2.50 (6/4) with Bet365. For a repeat of the November fixture, both Koch & Cooper to have 2 shots is priced at 67.00 (66/1) with Bet365 as well. If you don’t mind chucking a quid down the drain, then 701.00 (700/1) for Koch & Cooper to both have over 1.5 shots and both to have over 0.5 shots on target each might tickle your fancy.

Liverpool vs Tottenham, English Premier League, Sunday 30th April, 16:30, Sky Sports Main Event.

Bet: Trent Alexander-Arnold Over 87.5 Passes @ 7.00 (6/1) - Bet365

It’s hardly groundbreaking news that Trent Alexander-Arnold has been moved into the false full-back role that everyone, myself included, has creamed their pants over since Pep Guardiola decided to make up a new position, again. Since the change into the hybrid role, Trent has made 12 key passes, had 5 assists and saw passing totals of the following:

  • Arsenal - 51 passes. 4 key passes, and 1 assist.

  • Leeds - 136 passes. 2 key passes and 2 assists.

  • Nottm Forest - 61 passes. 4 key passes and 1 assist.

  • West Ham - 99 passes. 2 key passes and 1 assist.

It’s hard to know exactly how Tottenham are going to set up under Ryan Mason, but they had 40% possession midweek vs Man Utd and they trailed for 72 of the 90 minutes. I’m presuming Liverpool will look to have a similar dominant impact on the game and Trent Alexander-Arnold over 87.5 passes @ 7.00 (6/1) with Bet365 is my bet here. A bet builder on 365 with Trent to have over 87.5 passes and 0.5 assists is also worth a little tickle @ 26.00 (25/1) I think.

Some pointers if you’re looking for a longer shot;
Virgil Van Dijk’s passing figures last 4 games: 64, 142, 93, 121
Fabinho's passing figures last 4 games: 38, 91, 37, 85. - Only played the full 90 minutes vs West Ham.

Bologna vs Juventus, Italian Serie A, Sunday 30th April, 19:45, BT Sport 1.

Bet: Nicolas Dominguez Over 1.5 Shots @ 3.50 (5/2) - Bet365

Argentine midfielder Nicolas Dominguez provided an all-action display in last weekend’s loss vs Verona. The Bologna man grabbed a consolation goal in the 94th minute, the last of his 6 attempts. 4 of his 6 shots hit the target, so it was a toss-up between the over 1.5 shots bet at 3.50 (5/2) or over 0.5 shots on target at 3.40 (12/5). I couldn’t put you off either bet but, I opted for the 2 shots so I can cheer when a 35-yard pointless effort on goal is high, wide and not at all handsome. The midfield man has only had 2 or more shots on 7 occasions in Serie A this season, however, he has played a variety of roles in midfield and was more of an attacking threat last week

Juventus concede 12 shots per game on average and this increases to 13.2 shots from the opposition on average when they play away from home. Bologna are averaging 12.2 shots per game meanwhile and this increases to 12.6 per game when they play at home. Thiago Motta’s side are currently 8th in the Serie A table with 44 points, the same tally Juventus would be on if it wasn’t for their 15-point deduction being reversed. Insert if my Grandmother had wheels she would have been a bike video here.
