💰 Punt: A Red Card In The Match
📗 Bookie: Bet365
🎲 Odds: 5.50 (9/2)
⚽️ Game: Burnley vs. Blackburn
The first rendition of El Lanclasico this season was an eventful one to say the least. When the Cotton Mills derby occurred at the end of August, there were 34 fouls, 41 tackles, 11 different players found their name in the referee’s notebook and Blackburn’s Senegalese forward Makhtar Gueye received a red card and his marching orders for waving an imaginary card at referee Tony Harrington whilst already on a yellow that day.
Lancashire derbies between these sides and Preston North End have also been intriguing. There were 7 yellows for players and both managers were booked when Burnley faced Preston, meanwhile, when Blackburn faced the Lilywhites, there were 9 yellow cards, a red card for each team and a retrospective eight-match ban and £15,000 fine for Preston’s Montenegro international forward Milutin Osmajic for biting the back of Owen Beck’s shoulder. Suarez-esque. But what if ye haven’t had an apple in ages and yerrrr starving, lad?
Referee Andrew Kitchen is hardly cooking up a storm when it comes to cards, in fact he appears to be a tad bipolar. He’s officiated four games this season and only given a solitary yellow card, but, he’s also given 7 or more yellow cards on 3 separate occasions.
I think the 5.50 (9/2) on it boiling over with Kitchen in charge and a Red Card To Be Shown in the East Lancashire derby is an attractive price with Bet365 and one I’ll be getting on side.
