💰 Punt: Over 2 Cards For Derby & Over 2 Cards For Luton
📗 Bookie: Bet365
🎲 Odds: 6.00 (5/1)
⚽️ Game: Derby vs. Luton
The sensible bet is probably 2 cards for each team or 20+ booking points each team, or just a winning one in all honesty. Please God, if you’re real. Yup the Jesus bets.
James Linington is the man in the middle for Good Friday’s early kick-off in The Championship between Derby and Luton. He hasn’t been the greatest of card sharks this season, however, he’s slowly warming up in his past few outings and the magnitude of the game between two sides fighting relegation and the financial implications that follow, hopefully leads to big Jimmy Linny losing his head and tempers boiling over.
Derby in a relegation scrap? 🤝
James Linington the ref? 🤝
A gazillion cards in the game? 🤝
19th February 2022: Derby vs. Peterborough
Referee: James Linington
Cards: 11 yellow cards and 2 red cards.
If that doesn’t scream both teams getting a red card and over 5 cards for each team on Good Friday then I don’t know what does! Just ignore the fact that was the last time Linington sent a player off from both sides and you’re good to go.
Punt: Over 2 Cards For Derby & Over 2 Cards for Luton @ 6.00 (5/1) - Bet365
💰 Punt: Over 2 Cards For Coventry & Over 2 Cards For West Brom
📗 Bookie: Bet365
🎲 Odds: 7.00 (6/1)
⚽️ Game: Coventry vs. West Brom
Craig Pawson officiates the play-off for a play-off place as 6th placed Coventry (63 points) entertain 7th placed west Brom (60 points) in what is a massive game. DUH!
The possibility of achieving promotion to the promised land that is the Premier League coupled with the fact Craig Pawson showed 5 yellow cards apiece to Chelsea and Tottenham at the start of the month in one of the tamer North London derbies. SHE’S RIPE FOR CARDS SURELY?
Odds against for both teams receiving a couple of cards each is probably the sensible play, but it’s a bank holiday isn’t it? What’s the point of living if we can’t cheer a 6/1 shot on and turn them sweet old card notifications on from Bet365?
And, of course the double (if it’s still alive by 3pm) with the aforementioned Derby and Luton game.
Punt: Over 2 Cards for Coventry & Over 2 Cards for West Brom @ 7.00 (6/1) - Bet365
💰 Punt: Goal Cards from Sunderland Players
📗 Bookie: Everywhere
🎲 Odds: 25/1+
⚽️ Game: Bristol City vs. Sunderland
It may be a better shout on Easter Monday as the Black Cats entertain Blackburn at the Stadium of Light, however, I’ll be keeping an eye on team news at 2pm on Friday for a couple of Sunderland academy graduates to pay tribute to the late, great Carlton Fairweather.

The old goal card bets tend to be better in theory than they are in reality, buuuuut, we’ll have a look, of course we’ll have a look.
Sunderland are in a strange, sort of mini pre-season as they’ve began to rotate their squad and XI quite frequently in order to make sure everyone is good to go for the play-offs. So, I’ll be waiting for team news but with so many academy graduates in and around their first team squad, I imagine it’s been an emotional week at the club after the passing of a beloved character behind the scenes at the Academy of Light.
The likes of Chris Rigg, Tom Watson & Harrison Jones could pay tribute. Looking further afield, Jordan Henderson, Lynden Gooch & Bali Mumba are possibilities.
Odds are probably a touch better elsewhere but with Bet365’s Sub On, Play On feature:
Chris Rigg To Score & Be Booked @ 26.00 (25/1) - Bet365
Harrison Jones To Score & Be Booked @ 26.00 (25/1) - Bet365
Tommy Watson To Score & Be Booked @ 28.00 (28/1) - Bet365
