Cresswell To Hamer One Home

💰 Punt: Charlie Cresswell To Score Anytime
📗 Bookie: SkyBet
🎲 Odds: 17.00 (16/1)
⚽️ Game: Leeds vs West Brom

Daniel Farke’s Leeds welcome Carlos Corberan’s West Bromwich Albion side to Elland Road live on Sky in this week’s offering of Friday Night Football. Leeds on the other hand, are looking to get their first 3 points on the board after a disappointing start and WBA will look to build on last week’s 3-2 victory over Swansea.

The Baggies have conceded a fair few shots to opposition centre-backs in their opening three games of the season.
* = player scored vs WBA.

  • Blackburn - Carter (1) & Hyam (1)

  • Stoke - McNally (1)

  • Swansea - *Wood (2), Cabango (2) & *Darling (3)

It’s an incredibly small sample size. However, I like the price on offer with SkyBet for Charlie Cresswell to find the back of the net. He’s 17.00 (16/1) to get his name on the scoresheet.

Across his senior career so far in 38 appearances, Cresswell is averaging 1.3 shots per 90 mins played with the majority of those coming last season whilst out on loan at Millwall. He averaged 1.4 shots p90, playing 2264 minutes of Championship football across 28 league games, scoring 4 times. All of his goals came from set-piece situations, corners specifically and 3 of the goals were headers so he should pose a constant threat to the Baggies’ backline.

Punt: Charlie Cresswell To Score Anytime @ 17.00 (16/1) with SkyBet

The loan signing of Joe Rodon may see Cresswell back on the bench. An alternative angle if that does happen, is Pascal Struijk to have 1 & 2 shots best priced with Betfair/Paddy Power at 1.91 (10/11) & 6.00 (5/1).

💰 Punt: Gustavo Hamer Over 1, Over 2 Shots & Over 3 Shots
📗 Bookie: William Hill
🎲 Odds: 2.30 (13/10), 5.00 (4/1) & 12.00 (11/1)
⚽️ Game: Nottingham Forest vs Sheffield United

Brazilian-born Dutch midfielder Gustavo Hamer looks set to make his Premier League debut after an incredibly impressive few seasons in the Championship at Mark Robins’ Coventry City.

Hamer averages 2.3 shots per 90 minutes across 177 career games in the Eredivisie and England’s second tier. The Premier League is an obvious step up in quality from those leagues but he’s more than good enough to make the jump, in my opinion.

William Hill is best priced on the Blades’ new signing to have a couple of efforts on goal:

  • Gustavo Hamer Over 1 Shot @ 2.30 (13/10)

  • Gustavo Hamer Over 2 Shots @ 5.00 (4/1)

  • Gustavo Hamer Over 3 Shots @ 12.00 (11/1)

💰 Punt: Koffi Kouao 2+ Fouls & To Be Carded
📗 Bookie: Betfair/Paddy Power
🎲 Odds: 5.00 (4/1)
⚽️ Game: Metz vs Marseille

Ismaila Sarr is well known to be a player that draws fouls from the opposition full-back who is tasked with stopping him. Across his career, he’s been fouled on average 2.7 times per 90 mins. Whilst at Metz & Rennes during his first Ligue 1 stint, he was fouled 2.6, 3.1 & 3.2 times per 90 across the 3 seasons he played there. So far for Marseille, he’s been fouled 2, 2 (subbed on after 51 mins) & 5 times.

Tonight, Koffi Kouao is the man whose job it is to stop Sarr, the Metz left-back was carded 6 times in 33 Ligue 2 appearances in the 22/23 season, before this in 21/22 he plied his trade in Liga Portugal where he picked up 10 cards in 24 games playing for Vizela. He’s best priced at 3.75 (11/4) to be booked with Bet365 if you prefer the single. Kouaou was booked and made 3 fouls in his Ligue 1 debut when marking a similarly tricky opponent in Rennes’ winger Jeremy Doku.

He averaged 1.5 fouls per game in both the 22/23 & 21/22 campaigns and the Ivorian looks to be rash in a challenge based on his data. Betfair/Paddy Power have him priced at 2.40 (7/5) to commit 2 or more fouls. Combining the card and fouls on Betfair or Paddy Power makes for a 5.06 (4.06/1) Bet Builder.

💰 #CheekyPunt - Kouao Franck, Geoffrey Kondogbia To Be Booked & Kondogbia Over 1.5 Shots
