Red Mist at Kenilworth Road

đź’° Punt: A Red Card In The Match
đź“— Bookie: Bet365
🎲 Odds: 4.50 (7/2)
⚽️ Game: Luton vs. Nottingham Forest

On the face of it, this has all the hallmarks of an absolute classic relegation six-pointer. Stick that on your Football Cliches podcast!

3 points separate the two sides as Nottingham Forest sit in 17th position with Luton hot on their heels in 18th currently occupying the third relegation spot with Burnley and Sheff Utd all but gone. If they were a horse named El Fabiolo they’d be put down. Still too soon?

There’s been 3 red cards in 7 meetings between the sides which is fairly irrelevant but nice to have that little snippet of information regardless. A Red Card in The Match is best priced at 4.50 (7/2) with Bet365 and I think it’s worth chancing with the magnitude of the game and Premier League survival at stake. Both Teams Red Card is priced at 56.00 (55/1) with William Hill, which is probably a fair touch shorter than I expected (66/1). I do think it has a decent chance, I imagine the game will be full-blooded with a few rash challenges and plenty of time-wasting antics for whoever takes the lead.

Forest’s verdict regarding their possible points deduction for financial breaches will not be concluded until Monday which puts even more added pressure on Nuno’s men to get a result. It’s possible they’ll get deducted 6 points like Everton or possibly even more, which would put them up shit creek without a paddle. Forest can appeal any decision made but that would not be finalised until the 24th May, nearly a week after the season comes to an end. The beautiful game, eh?

Time-wasting antics?
