Since joining The Gers in January, Todd Cantwell has played in 16 league games, starting 15. He managed 4 assists, created 5 ‘big chances’ and averaged 1.3 key passes per game. His assists came against Ross County, Dundee United & St. Mirren.

I’m hoping the former Norwich man will become more of a creative threat given the strength in numbers manager Michael Beale has added to his forward line, signing the likes of Sam Lammers, Cyriel Dessers, Danilo & Abdallah Sima.

Todd Cantwell to register 10+ assists in the SPL this season is a generous price at 8.00 (7/1) with Bet365. As long as he stays injury free I think we’ll get a decent run for our money.

Neymar played 145 times under Luis Enrique at Barcelona. He contributed an impressive 90 goals and 68 assists in that spell. His La Liga goal totals in those 3 seasons under Enrique were 22, 24 & 13.

The obvious downside is the fact that he’s struggled to stay fit in Ligue 1 and that he’s probably going to get an injury that will rule him out for a couple of months. As well as the fortnight he has off around his sibling’s birthday when he jets off to fondle his sister. Allegedly. He played 33, 34 & 30 La Liga games during Enrique’s tenure at Barcelona and if he plays a similar amount this coming season I’d be surprised if he didn’t manage 20 league goals.

Messi’s departure and Mbappe’s twerking for Real Madrid should make him the Parisian’s main man again if he’s fully recovered from his ankle injury that kept him out towards the back end of last season that is. Burnley’s star summer signing Zeki Amdouni has impressed me on all 3 occasions I’ve watched him. I think he’ll be a good addition to the PL and I’m hoping he hits the ground running. Zeki Amdouni is 2.10 (11/10) to be Burnley’s top goalscorer in the league and I reckon he’ll be Vincent Kompany’s main man in his first PL season as a manager.

Taiwo Awoniyi is 3.00 (2/1) to be Nottingham Forest’s top marksman. He bagged 10 goals in 27 PL appearances last term, coming off the bench in 10 of those 27. However, 6 of his PL goals total came in 4 appearances in May when it looked like he’d adapted fully to life at The City Ground.

Bryan Mbeumo scored 9 goals in 36 PL starts for Brentford last term. I imagine there’ll be a lot more onus on him to fill the Ivan Toney-shaped goalscoring problem that Brentford will face until their talisman’s ban is finished in January. He’s likely the stand-in penalty taker until Toney’s return. 6 of Toney’s 20 PL goals came from the penalty spot last season. Bryan Mbeumo is 2.10 (11/10) to be Brentford’s top goalscorer in the PL for the 2023/24 campaign. 

Since Mo Salah joined Liverpool in June 2017, no Liverpool player has scored more PL goals than him in a single season. Sadio Mane equalled his tally of 22 in the 2018/19 campaign but other than that, the Egyptian king has been in a league of his own. Mohamed Salah is 2.50 (6/4) to continue his record of scoring the most PL goals in a season for Liverpool with Bet365.
